The Nardo Foundation is a charitable, non-profit, educational foundation and was incorporated in Atlanta, GA, in July 2022 by our founder, Dr. John C. Nardo, Our non-profit was awarded tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) in March 2023.
Dr. Nardo has been a professor in higher education for over a quarter century; for almost all of that time, he has been privileged to be a tenured Professor of Mathematics at Atlanta's Oglethorpe University.
Though Dr. Nardo is an accomplished scholar and researcher, he is most proud of his role as teacher. Simply put, he became a professor to teach and mentor students.
As a product of a Liberal Arts education, Dr. Nardo believes in the transformative nature of education; further, he believes that the truest measure of any success he has attained is found with the thousands of students he has taught.
The Foundation's aims are both student-focused and faculty-focused. Please see the "Philanthropic Aims" page for full details of the four pillars of our mission.
